Update on gasoline sales in Jolly Harbour Marina

As many of our customers are aware, the equipment for gasoline sales has unexpectedly failed and all sales have been suspended until further notice.  As we head into peak season in both Jolly Harbour Marina and residential occupancy – this could not have happened at a worst possible time of the year!


We recognize this situation is negatively impacting many of our loyal customers and how extremely inconvenient it is.   On behalf of ECMBL and Rubis, I once again, extend our sincere apologies.  Many ideas have been suggested and considered, but unfortunately due to the flammable nature of gasoline, there are many hurdles to overcome.  There are very rigid regulations regarding storage and dispensing of fuel that must be complied with at all times.  We want to reassure everyone in the community that our commitment to safety comes first and unfortunately there is no quick fix.


Relentless discussions for an urgent, albeit temporary safe solution, are ongoing.


A more permanent arrangement will be considered once we are able to resume uninterrupted service to all.
